Two recent examples of how we have helped families include:
1. Client, Debbie D., had a stack of NASA photos from her husband’s office. Most were random stock photos of capsules, and she was going to throw them away. Prior to the sale, we found one photo signed by the Apollo 11 crew. We knew what to do. We pulled the photo prior to the Estate sale listing and placed in it a Worldwide auction where it sold for $8000 (as it was the Apollo 11 anniversary year). Our client was very happy as it was much needed monies to help her with expenses. Without a collectible company, she would have lost all of those proceeds.
2. Client, Jim S., hired us to help review pricing and conduct his grandparent’s estate sale. We reviewed the artwork, furniture, and other items. We found that art hanging on the wall was from a well-known western artist and that furniture was from a highly collectible company. Hidden in an old worn golf bag was a vintage Arnold Palmer Personal Putter and a stash of PING 2 color golf balls. The painting was valued around $500, the tables were valued at nearly $1500, and the golf balls and putter were valued at nearly $500. Those three items would have most likely been missed for their true value and helped make a huge difference in this sale!
